clouds lurk above my head,
about to fall any second,
what comes is a gentle

perfect tease, dripping hair.
all i know is that it’s there.

my voice is the thunder.

i break with every syllable
that falls from my wet lips;
pay maybe 1 mill to hear.

not good, but not bad.
not alive, but not dead.
not dark, but still cloudy.

i don’t want to hear me roar.

if i could bottle raindrops
to sweeten my morning tea
then maybe i’ll understand

why i hate the thunder.
