you know it will consume you.
find your weapons in your heart,
in your pen,
in your pills.
do what you must, but always fight.
you’re stronger than it is.
you always have been, you still are now.
retreat, perhaps, to heal,
but always come back swinging.
i know you tire.
it is coming,
but only we exist to beat it back.
as long as you exist, we are not losing,
and there is always hope for winning more.
remember i am here, and always will be.
i am waiting on the other side,
closer than you think,
and this is war,
as great and ferocious as any.
you must fight it harder still.
