“The Letter ‘C'”

It’s not living if the sky falls down on people, breaking minds. They think it’s fine if it does. Crinkled grey matter creasing in coffins continue to count consonants anyway.

Let’s start in the middle. You should have something to say always waiting to break the thread sewing your lips shut. Cacophony of words carelessly caressing the corners of your mind unlike numbers that should never grace the grey matter.
Still, the dead count.
The living are stridently silent.
A little girl runs from her home. She’s afraid of circles and the letter ‘c’ in general. There are so many frightening words beginning with ‘c.’

Cowardice and creative cruelty obviously points to anti-something.
Comparison of cancerous compassion is the healthiest choice for supper.
You want her to be the doll you got her and she tries her best, counting consonants constantly. This little girl of yours can see what you cannot in the vowels. Congratulations, you taught her how to fear who she might become and all the possibilities in the world. Stress syllables composed of a consonant nucleus.
