Surviving Through the Battlefield for “Success”

Fiction Based on the Inspirational Storytelling for Spiritual Journey

by Melissa Camacho

This journal entry is inspired by true events. Some of the characters, names, businesses, incidents, and certain locations and events have been fictionalized for dramatic purposes. Any similarity to the name, character, or history of any person is entirely coincidental and unintentional.

Trigger Warning: our program often motivates people to discuss their trauma. If you find yourself feeling overwhelmed, please, take a step back to address emotional flashbacks and trauma before continuing to push yourself. If you are experiencing a medical emergency, call 911 or the National Suicide Hotline at (1-800) 273-8255.

What makes you achieve your goals is society putting you to the test. That involves pain, going
through insecurities, feeling hopeless, and thinking you have nowhere to turn or no one to
encourage you. You are left in that dry desert fighting the battles all alone. Alone? That’s it. You
have yourself to depend on now. There are no strengths left to find in others. The strengths lie in
you. But what happened to them? The ones who you thought were going to lift you, took all your
strengths. What they didn’t realize was that they created a fighter.

Yes, you need to fight for your success. You need to find your way through the learning curve.
But you must win with the truth. The choice is yours…And the truth is you have what it takes to
win the battle and achieve your goals. When that is accomplished, no one can take away the
prize!
