The Love Story behind UnsilencedVoices.org
About Michelle Jewsbury
Michelle Jewsbury is the CEO and Founder of UnsilencedVoices.org, a 501(c)3 non profit organization that aims to bring transformation and power back to people who have been suffering silently under domestic violence. The non profit organization currently helps women and girls escape domestic abuse and sexual violence by offering educational resources called desensitization programs, offers vocational training, legal, medical and counseling assistance in Ghana, Sierra Leone, and Nepal. They are currently expanding to US territories.
Michelle shares the inspiration and her big WHY behind UnsilencedVoices.org. She recounts the horrors of living through physical, sexual, and emotional abuse and the long process of recovery. Out of the mess, her message is advocacy for others who are currently suffering silently to speak up and out, to transform from victim to survivor, and to stand in truth—the good, bad, ugly and all the shades in between for the process of healing to begin.
