“Not the Life”

Fiction. Based on a True Changing Mindset.

All journal entries are inspired by true events. Some of the characters, names, businesses, incidents, and certain locations and events have been fictionalized for dramatic purposes. Any similarity to the name, character or history of any person is entirely coincidental and unintentional.

You’ve had a pretty negative perspective on everything lately.

You keep thinking to yourself, “This is not the life I wanted.”

You keep harboring bitterness and letting anger seep into every action you take

And most of the words you say.

You see going to work as a hassle.

You keep thinking about how many hours of your life are being wasted.

You don’t care about the money you make still,

But how much you one day will.

You dream about the future as if it will be perfection.

Every aspect of today seems tedious and unrewarding.

You complain to your family and friends

And the complaining never ends.

You have such a terrible attitude every day

That you start to drive everyone away.

Your loved ones stop enjoying your company.

Your boss threatens to fire you, and stop paying you money.

You look around at your life.

You have a home, your health, a car, a family, loved ones.

You have the ability to work a job and provide for yourself.

You’re enrolling in graduate school, like hardly anyone else (your age).

You need to change your perspective on your life.

Your world is a beautiful one.

This is the life you want.
