You don’t talk about fight club.
All journal entries are fiction, based on a true story. The parts that are non-fiction are non-of-our business. Gossip, backbiting opinions, and advice-giving are all counter-productive to the mission of our community. To protect the anonymity of our creatives, we have one rule—we don’t talk about what is non-fiction. We don’t ask, and we don’t tell. Our purpose here is to hold space, resonate, and reflect our personal truths in fiction.

The Mirror Darkly groups are made up of an intimate and inclusive group of journal-artists who are ready to reveal, feel, and heal together, one journal entry at a time.
There are three parts to the Mirror Darkly:
Part I: “now I know in part”—Deep listening for kindred resonances to become activated in the subconscious
Part II: “but then shall I know”—Journal 15 minutes distraction free
Part III: “even as also I am known” — Share & Resonate-edit
Each workshop is different because the people who come into the session offer a unique imprint to the dynamic of each group. No one workshop is ever the same although our format is consistent.
You can turn off your camera and use a pen name (a pseudonym) when engaging inside the video meeting. You don’t even need to speak if you want to hide your voice (just use the zoom chat function). The level of personalization is personalized by you.
We believe that to transform pain you must express it, to transform tragedy you must first understand it, to transform heartbreak you must go through it. If you are in the thick of grief, heartbreak, tragedy, loss, and/or trauma, consider the power of Expressive Writing to help you reveal, feel, deal and heal.
