Eventually you come to a place
Where you can stop and look back
At how far you’ve come
And take in your surroundings.
Everything looks different against
The light of day.
The shadows aren’t always that scary
And the mountains aren’t always that large.
Come out into the sunlight
You’ve spent too long in the dark.
You can’t grow in the darkness.
You are a creature of light
Called to shine and radiate.
Let the tears dry in the daylight.
You don’t have to hide anymore.
