I long for You.
Your sweet and cool embrace,
the comfort of eternity, the end of pain and suffering, the beginning of dull and lovely nothingness.
You hold billions of souls in Your loving arms,
You sing songs of splendor and grandeur,
You hold in Your chest the whispers of normality and suffering.
And yet, though lovely storyteller You may be,
even You concede i have but a page or two.
I have not yet endured the joy and the defeat You love to sing of.
I have yet to truly understand Your song.
And so- I will bide my time until I meet You.
I will write my story till my pen runs out of ink.
I will talk and sing and dream about You,
and one day lay beneath Your gentle wing.
